Local Program Opportunties

 Lyon County CASA Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management of Lyon County CASA and all aspects of the agency’s operations. This primarily involves the supervision and coordination of a volunteer service program that provides CASA services to children who have become part of the child welfare system when the Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) has determined it is unsafe for the child to remain at home due to abuse or neglect. Key responsibilities include, but are not restricted to, agency and program planning, volunteer recruitment and supervision, maintaining an open dialog with the 3rd Judicial Court to ensure that the Court’s needs for volunteer CASAs are being met, resource development, community and public relations, agency liaison to the board of directors, and fiscal management.

Full-Time Position – flexible scheduling – partial working remotely is possible within court parameters.  Occasional night and weekend hours may be necessary

Salary: $50,000 – $54,000 dependent upon experience


  • A bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Skills in fiscal management, resource development, agency and program planning and public relations.
  • Experience working with volunteers and knowledge of child abuse and neglect, families in crisis, court processes, and other social services systems.
  • Ability to pass a Background Check
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
